DOYLE: If you need help. Then look no further. Angel Investigations is the best! Our rats are low.

CORDELIA: Rates!

DOYLE: (RE: cue cards) It says 'rats'. Our rates are low, but our standards are high. When the chips are down, and you're at the end of your rope you need someone that you can count on. And that's what you'll find here. Someone who will go all the way, who'll protect you no matter what. So don't lose hope. Come on over to our offices and you'll see that there's still heroes in this world. Is that it? Am I done?

CORDELIA: I don't know. I'm not getting every man, I'm getting... weasel. We don't want weasel.

DOYLE: I don't know. I think people will be pouring in as soon as they hear about our low rats.

Title: None
Fandom: Babylon 5
Rating: G
Characters: Ivanova and Marcus

Half shadow, half spider, it hung before them, all sharp spikes and razor edges. Blacker than space; a darkness well beyond anything in human experience. Light seemed to slide off it; to cower from it; to skitter away, and hide itself in places unseen. Ivanova could only sympathise. And they were to fight these things? These shadows that light itself seemed to fear? Beside her, Marcus whispered something in Minbari – a prayer, she thought – then flashed her a wholly incongruous grin. She smiled back. And why not? When light itself was afraid, what else was there to do but smile?

'The Canadians' - parody web series

Spotted this on Twitter today.

'Because every great show deserves a great parody' (per the Exec. writer/producer), the comedy website Funny or Die has released season 1 of 'The Canadians,' about two American spies living undercover in Canada with their daughter Paper and their son who appears only with a big question mark over his face in the opening credits, but otherwise never appears in any episodes.

Each 'episode' is 2-3 minutes long. It's all quite hilarious.

He's going to go into the rover. Eat his potato. Make a new log. Check the equipment, watch a little damned seventies television, burrow down into his nest.

Later.

Now, he's going to sit here. He's going to stare up at the stars. So different without all that pesky atmosphere getting in the way.

He's going to sit right here and imagine that in a small piece of sky, the stars are blotted out. Empty, a shadow in space where Hermes is accelerating back to him.

He closes his eyes, picturing all their smiles. Even without the sun, he's warm.

It wasn't that she hadn't noticed. It was just—

"Come on," said Shaw, then sighed and grabbed Shu into the alleyway he'd just tried to walk past.

"Listen, kid," she told him. "There are people trying to kill you. That means you stick with me. That means pay attention. Come on."

"I'm sorry," he got out. "I—it's just—"

"What is it?" she demanded.

"Someone's following us!" he said. "That camera moved!"

"You—" saw that was not a good way to finish that sentence. There was no good way.

She swallowed instead. "It's just an old friend. Come on."

GILES: If you can't find third gear, don't try for third gear!
SPIKE: I'm doing my best. I don't know if I'm driving this thing or wearing it.
GILES: It's perfectly serviceable.
SPIKE: (laughs) Funny hearing a Fyarl demon say "serviceable." Had a couple of them working for me once. They're more like "Like to crush. Crush now?" Strong though. You won't meet a jar you can't open for the rest of your life.

She crooks her fingers against the candlelight, casting puppets for the giggling children. Here is a bunny: hop, hop. Then she draws an ear down into a crinkled snout, folds her thumb out, and the same hand shapes a new shadow. Here come the sharp teeth: run and hide.

The meeting is still going, low voices at the table quieting when trucks rumble overhead. The virus, they murmur. Not yet. Yes yet. Too great a cost to use. Too great a cost to not.

Which will they be remembered as in the end, she wonders: the rabbit, or the wolf?
