Well, like I said, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a brilliant reboot, and it didn't have a single original actor or writer on board. So yes, I maintain that it can be done. But judging from the Buffy movie and the few interviews I've bothered reading with them, the Kuzuis are not very likely to pull it off - or even to try. I'm guessing they just saw how popular Twilight and True Blood are and decided to cash in.
