I love how simply you introduce Buffy, Faith and Dawn
Yeah, they pretty much had to be there. Dawn had to be the one to find her - to realise that this old fairytale was actually about a Slayer, who might still be out there somewhere, wherever "there" is, and to trace it back to its roots (critical text analysis is so a weapon). Buffy had to be the one to approach her as an equal (and as a possible judge, if it should come to that - I do think Buffy would have a hard time being completely understanding of her actions, though she'd want to). And Faith had to be the one to realise just what she'd been wondering all along and telling her (having asked Dawn to teach her that one phrase in whatever ancient language they're speaking) that she couldn't have taken him down on her own.
...Yeah, this fic has been kicking around in my head for a while ever since I first thought of it. :)
