As far as I can work out, LJ doesn't actually create the poll until you post it - you notice all the polls have a number assigned to them. And it seems to not like it if you have anything else typed in the post. And even when you do, the edit window doesn't actually show the poll. Aargh.
So what I do:
1. Create the poll. 2. Post it, locked so only I can see it. 3. Edit the post. 4. Go to HTML view and type an asterisk before and after the body of the poll. 5. Go back to preview view, which will now look like this: * * 6. Add the rest of my comment. 7. Remember to change the filter back to "Everybody" before re-posting. ;-)
what does that say about what Buffy has been doing for 8-odd years
The same thing it would say about a soldier who's been fighting for their country in a war for eight years, and now a peace treaty has been signed?
