But the demon in #10 (I forget his name) said the same thing about Twilight's plans, and he was supposed to be telling the truth. Plus, there's the Fray storyline, which seems to take place in a future where exactly that has happened. Villains in the Buffyverse always tend to tell the truth; that's what makes them work as metaphors.

Of course, it's possible that this one doesn't, and that all of his claims so far have been fake and it's about exactly what Buffy said in #4 - the whole women and power thing. In which case, yawn.
