I'm not saying the current political debate (and not just in the US) seems like something out of an R-rated sitcom about incest, alcoholism, psychopathy and coprophilia. I'm just saying, if it did, it would look a lot like this.

The stupidity really is depressing. It's as if people have decided that they're sick of being disappointed by politicians, so they decided to go for the ones so utterly moronic that there's no more down to go.
