The news reports I heard before the vote seemed to see a clear victory for Johnson, but the reporters kept reminding listeners that elections have proved unpredictable before! Unfortunately not in this case.

I'm not surprised, tbh. "Get Brexit done" was a brilliant slogan - it basically translates to "Please make the pain stop". Nevermind that he won't be able to do it, Johnson weaponised people's frustration. Again.
