To celebrate, here's a rather... uncelebratory drabble for open_on_sunday's prompt "Burn(s)". (Because I already did the obvious one.)

Postscript

He used to know that there are countless heaven dimensions, each one different. He doesn’t anymore. If asked, he could only describe it in impressions.

To Wesley, it’s warm and comfortable and slightly foggy, like a bay window and a roaring fire on a rainy day. It tastes faintly of tea and Ardbeg Single Malt.

There's love, forgiveness, peace. No need to understand, question, decide. No scars (and no stubble).

There are no lawyers, physicists, prophecies, monsters. Nor any memories of them.

That’s as should be. It wouldn’t be Heaven if you had to remember the ones who burn.

That had me feeling melacholy in a nice, warm, squishy way... until the last line chilled me. I like the idea of amnesia being a mixed blessing for Wes; there's no sour memories, but nothing of Angel Investigations triumphs' or of Fred either.
