I seem to remember that they were asked by the network to make an episode 'with a message', and 'Beer Bad' was the result
I was just given linkage (http://beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com/140359.html?thread=2717767#t2717767) about that. Apparently, the White House Drug Whatsit took one look at "Beer Bad" and went "But... this isn't a clear, unambiguous message telling kids to just say no!" I kinda love that. :)
