Basically, as I understand it, you have two options:
1) Allow others to repost your stuff to Twitter and Facebook at will simply by clicking a little box when they comment. You can also repost your own posts to Twitter and Facebook by clicking a little box when you post. This is the default. 2) Set it so your posts and comments to them are always automatically posted to Twitter and Facebook.
There is no "Get rid of the fucking Twitter and Facebook crossposting function completely" option.
