Your (satirical) sense of humor is well and truly intact here, so I'm not worried. There's always something subtly meta about your stories - reflecting real life, the show, the comics, and a range of cultural references. (not in a hit the reader over the head kind of way, but just there for me to notice.)

But what does "fluff" mean to you, or is there really a generally-accepted definition? In Moulin Rouge fanfic it seemed to signify "girlish" stories of romance and silliness with a touch of romantic fantasy (Satine and Christian out on a picnic for example, giggly and happy, etc). I don't see you writing fluff but maybe it means something slightly different in BtVS fandom? Or is it simply "the absence of angst"?

And I realize that I just used "girlish" as a pejorative, but that seems the most fitting term, sad to say. (Bad feminist, bad! No cookie for me!)

I remember reading a convo on [personal profile] gabrielleabelle's LJ where they discussed the definition of "fluff" (vs "schmoop") and I read it and was more confused than when I started.
