Soul mates meme and stuff

The assignment: Pair up the major players in Sunnydale (Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles, Cordelia, Angel, and Spike) with the person you believe in your heart to be their soul mate. You can pair them with each other, other characters from BtVS or AtS or you can say 'unknown' if it's no one we've met in the Buffyverse. You can only have couples - no threesomes or second choices - however, if you think the best person for Giles is Cordelia, but you think the best person for Cordelia is Spike, that's okay.
Post these instructions in your own journal, along with your list. Then tag three people to do it next.
OK. Well, obviously I'm completely right and everybody else is just wrong. ;-)
Buffy – Faith. And yes, there's more to it than just "ZOMG Eliza and SMG making teh crzy nekkid kisses!!eleven!!!" Buffy and Faith are so very similar, yet so utterly different, and there's more spark between these two than there ever were between Buffy and Angel. They gravitate, pulling each other across, spinning apart and crashing together but never free of each other. I'm not saying it would be a friction-free relationship, but... (BTW, check outshati's Tissue). But still... ZOMG Eliza and SMG making teh crzy nekkid kisses!!eleven!!!
Willow – Tara. OK, it wasn't always a relationship of equals, but it was increasingly so. (Is that a sentence?) They were incredibly good for each other up to a point, and they would have been good for each other again far enough beyond that point if not for that whole standing-in-front-of-windows business. Again, two people who make a complete set, both strong in the ways the other is weak... That scene in "The Real Me" of Tara molding herself back into Willow? That's it in a nutshell. Yes, including creepy foreshadowing.
Xander – Anya. Let's face it, Xander would have been dead by "Buffy vs Dracula" if he hadn't had his Anya to prop up his ego and deflate his tendency to feel sorry for himself. Damn you for screwing it up, Xander. I expect Joss to have you pay for that in the comics.
Giles – Jenny. Which, sadly, seems a given as there was never much competition. But Jenny was a fantastic character (and a hell of a woman) and I still can't watch "Passion" without hoping it'll turn out differently. Giles needs a bad girl.
Cordelia – Angel. Tricky one, this, especially since I don't care much for C/A (on the show or in fic). But the evidence is stacked against me. It's kyrumption, people, face it.
Angel – Buffy. And yes, I know it can never be and yada yada yada, but that's exactly the beauty of it. Angel will never be truly happy unless he's truly unhappy. His perfect soul mate is a creased and fading picture of 17-year-old Buffy, all the better to brood and torture himself over.
Spike – Drusilla. OK, "soul mate" is a misnomer. But come on... don't tell me you don't love them together. What's that quote? This is Drusilla, girl! You have the slightest idea what she means to me? It's the face of my salvation! She delivered me from mediocrity. For over a century we cut a swath through continents. A hundred years, she never stopped surprising me. (quietly) Never stopped taking me to new depths. I was a lucky bloke. Just to touch such a black beauty...

In unrelated news, RIP Veronica Mars. It used to be a good show, but Rob Thomas seems to have finally lost his mind. Hey, great idea, let's get rid of all the regulars and make it a completely different series... "Baywatch Nights", anyone?
