Instead the plot quickly settles into a cookie-cutter supernatural YA drama, with the love triangle, the magic school, the life-vs-calling dilemma, the apocalypse, etc etc..
Aww, that's a shame. I was looking forward to checking it out because of Lucy Davis, Michelle Gomez and Rachel Talalay, but I assumed it would be more comedic that straight up teen drama :/
