I get the "power belongs to the person who doesn't seek it" cliché. There's a point to it, even if it's often (including here) used as shorthand to vilify anyone (especially any woman) with ambition to do anything about their situation. But jesus christ, ever since he met up with Max von Sydow, Bran has cared about NOTHING. This is the guy whose only words to the woman who loved him and sacrificed EVERYTHING for him were "Thank you." Who's displayed nothing useful whatsoever beyond a capability to confirm other people's theories about what's going on. Who was a complete failure as Lord of Winterfell. Whose only contribution to the battle of Winterfell was to sit in a garden and do nothing. I honestly can't think of any main character less qualified for the throne. At least Hot Pie can cook.
