Long before he was the guy in Roxette, Per Gessle headed this new wave band who were HUGE in Sweden. His lyrics are often only marginally less stupid in Swedish (hence that untranslatable pun in the title), but it felt deep at the time, and I always loved how the drive in this song sells it.
Some need cash, lots of it, to kill [Line makes zero sense; I'm pretty sure the "ihjäl" (to death) is mostly there to rhyme with "själ" (soul) in the next line]
Some search for cosmic soaps to scrub their soul clean [and no, "soaps" doesn't refer to TV shows]
Others take coke to be able to light a fire
Too expensive and too cowardly! You burn fine anyway!
