Stuff

First of all, say it loud and say it proud:

Buffy Between the Lines premieres on Saturday. Don't miss it.
Thanks to the incredible [livejournal.com profile] sl_podcast for... well, just about everything BBTL-related, including the banner, I think.

Second of all: happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] speakr2customrs! I wanted to write you a Questionable Content/Sugarshock crossover drabble, but my muse just stared at me in horror.

Third of all: Yes, the third (and hopefully not last) issue of Sugarshock is out! Go! Read! Squirrels have no souls!

Fourth of all:

Banner by [livejournal.com profile] xlivvielockex, thanks babe

Fifth of all: Go listen to Strangely Literal's interview with Scott Allie. Very interesting for s8 stuff, not just for the (not very surprising) confirmation that Satsu was indeed the one who kissed Buffy.

Sixth of all: Since I won't get my copy of 8.07 until tomorrow, I did a couple of icons to tide me over. They're on the theme "Buffy in season 8 is in control, happy and content."

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. :-)
(Yes, I know, look who's talking...)

And you say it's "not very surprising" that Satsu was the one who kissed Buffy, but I've lost count of the number of people even here on LJ who were convinced it was Xander, or maybe Willow herself...

[identity profile] beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I have nooooo idea what you're referring to. ;-)

I can only say that *I* didn't consider it very surprising - that is, once it was revealed, I pretty much took it for granted. It wouldn't be the only thing in the comics that has looked like a possible plot twist only to turn out not to be one... *whistles innocently*

[identity profile] ozma914.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
*I* thought it was Xander, until I concluded that would be too obvious ...

Hee! Very nice icons. And congrats on the award. Didn't know you were in Buffy: between the lines. Am looking forward to it, though not sure when I'll get the chance to listen to it.

[identity profile] beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Yup, I've written episode 11... and it's an arcy one, so you'll simply have to listen to all the previous ones if you want to get all of it. :-)

Your icons totally cracked me up!

(You get Timelord squee for this post, since I once read a fic where The Immortal was a Timelord. I still think it's a fabulous, fabulous idea!)

[identity profile] beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Snarkiness aside, I'm pretty happy with the third one; sort of a Roy Lichtenstein vibe.

Yes, I can see that. Although then my inner critic says 'But Buffy? Why are your eyes so big?'

And I meant to say congratulations on the award and good luck with the 'between the lines' thing. Doubt I'll have time to check it out though... *is sad*

(Oh and I'm in the process of fine polishing a S8 fic. I think you might like it, although it didn't turn out as crack-tastic as I thought...)

But Buffy? Why are your eyes so big?

It's all the deep-fried Mars bars she eats in Scotland; it's gone straight to her eyeballs.

Looking forward to the fic!

Wow, once again I'm way out of the loopy -- first I've heard of this Between the Lines. Gratulations! If possible, I'll find the time, and if not I'll at least follow the news...

Sugarshock == the next Gorillaz, only cuter?

[identity profile] beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Truthfully, I have no idea how the Between The Lines thing will turn out; I know the scripts are good, and some of the voice actors are creepily spot on, so I'm really excited about hearing the first produced episode myself... with some trepidation, hehe.

And they should definitely go the Gorillaz route and put out an album. I've half a mind to do it myself if Joss won't.

Oh! That banner is awesome! I need one! ;)

*sigh* The second you're famous, eeeeeverybody wants a piece of ya. Haha.

I can't wait to hear your episode of BBtL. I've had lots of fun work on the project too.

[identity profile] beer-good-foamy.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's been a blast, definitely! Looks like s2 will be just as much fun, too.

Hadn't heard about between the lines before, but I'll definately check it out. Congrats on the gig, and the award too. You had my vote(third, but still)

Good icony goodness too!

Thanks! I'm told Between The Lines is the first fan-written Buffy audio drama ever, so it'll be really interesting to see how it's received...

Who knew?

I kind of regret I didn't audition for BBTL ... Tabs thought I might make a good Xander, but my muse keeps reminding me that I promised it I'd stop fanboying so much and starting writing more ...

Well, it's not too late yet - work has started on season 2! I'm sure there's a lot of work to do for a loyal fanboy... :-)

It's too late for me ... I have fiction to write, and I'm determined not to get involved in anything else that doesn't involve writing fiction until I have a book contract. Then, of course, I hope to be busy writing *more* fiction!
