See my comment to germaine_pet below on the polygamy thing, which is a good point. But on the evil side... the idea is that there's quite a bit of irony in that last bit. Because of course, it IS us doing it. That's part of what I love about the W&H setup in Angel; they're lawyers - not necessarily the ones who do evil, but the ones who make it easier for others to get away with doing evil. (Mostly) facilitators, not perpetrators themselves. And it's all too easy for mankind to say that it's The Other who's to blame - to shift responsibility for our actions to something beyond us. I think I may have to write that commentary just to make sense of this to myself... the trick would be to do it without getting into a possibly inflammatory discussion on religion... ;-)
