Wrote me another drabble (I really ought to get around to finishing "Atonement's a Bitch" instead) for open_on_sunday.

Title: Let It Bleed
Timeline: mid-season 4


"Well we all need someone we can lean on..."

"He's got to be a vampire." Spike gestured at the TV as the Rolling Stones played 'Let It Bleed'. "Look at 'im! If Keith Richards isn't undead, I'm Shirley Temple."

Giles shook his head. "Granted, he's not looking very lively, but..."

"Please! 'We all need someone we can bleed on, feed on'? I don't know when he was turned, but I'll bet no one's seen him in direct sunlight in 30 years – HEY! Don't change the channel!"

Giles tried not to let on as his boyhood idols fell. "'Passions' is on."

Also: got me a new userpic! I wonder if people are going to think I'm of the female persuasion now. But I love SMG's look of anticipation in this pic.

Thanks! Hadn't actually thought of that, but now that you mention it... yeah. Of course, Buffy always got a lot of mileage out of that - Buffy's and Joyce's discussions on the subject use the same angle too. "Have you tried NOT being a vampire slayer? This is because you didn't have a strong father figure, isn't it?"

No no no, Mick Jagger is human. Or possibly a robot. It's Keith Richards who is undead, even if I'm not sure Spike is right about him being a vampire, I think he's more of a zombie. Haha. Thanks!

oh god, i wouldn't be too sure about that. the first time my friend and saw it (before we had any idea that it existed in the first place) we were like, hey! an improv soap opera! what a neat idea! then, when we realized it was actually scripted, we were car-crash fascinated.
