RTD's scripts not always being one of them, but... *snerk* RTD is very Joss-like - he'll shun logic etc for the sake of his story if necessary. He just uses 'science' instead of a Hellmouth...
Kinda stuck when it comes to recs (except for my own story of course), since I read v. little Who fic... But here is a brilliant time-sex macro series. DW is so macro-able it *hurts*! :)
