Rather than write a review of After the Fall #16 I wrote a drabble, inspired by a comment in moscow_watcher's review. Spoilers, of course.

"That's it?" Gunn looked up from the books. "We've spent 48 hours researching this demon, and the answer was this obvious? What a waste of time."

Connor grumbled. "That sucks. Me and Gwen were supposed to go to the beach yesterday."

"If only," Spike sing-songed, "we could get the last couple of days back while still keeping our memories somehow..."

"You know what to do, kiddo." Gunn tossed the stake to Connor.

"Again? That's the third time this month! Besides, I killed him last time. It's your turn."

"I hear Gwen just got this new bikini..."

"Alright, alright. Oh Daaaad...?"

Finds very petty satisfaction as your drabble perfectly nails what I find boring about Angel and Ats in general.

Largely prefers your version of it. :) There's a reason why my prefered (writing quality apart) episodes in Ats are the ones that poke fun at the martyr/sacrifice/selflessness heavy syndrom, after all.
