Not-so-dear Harry Potter author --

Aside from the Killing Curse, I doubt there is a more famous spell in the HP-Verse than Harry's signature move, Expelliarmus. Besides, you can always look them up in the books, on Pottermore, or even online in places like the Harry Potter Lexicon.

So why are you spelling it "Expelleramus"? Or use "Incarceratous" instead of Incarcerous, to give just two examples?

Granted, JKR's spells were bastardized Latin at best, liberally mixed with English words that in themselves are rooted in terms which entered the language after 1066 through Norman French; she presumably did that so the meaning of her made-up spells was fairly obvious with minimal effort. But at least she used the correct spelling!

Why the HELL can't you?!?

Well...this is odd. So, I clicked on a fanfic for my fandom. It sounded interesting and has my favorite pairing. It's just...it has a ton of strange phrases. It...almost sounds like they cut out all of the cuss words for whatever reason.

Some of the sayings are: "What was supposed to be a romantic dinner for two, had turned into a cluster nugget of epic proportions"

"How the pepper had it all gone so wrong?"

"Tuna Adam, this is good,"

'Tuna, things are just so crazy the last time."

"It'll taste like the peachiest tortilla in the history of peachy tortilla's"

Those are just some of the sayings. And no, it wasn't my idea to bold those words. They were bolded in the fic. This wasn't a crack fic. It wasn't a humor fic. This also isn't in character for the characters the fic was about. So..no explanation for these sayings.
