Got myself tagged by
frogfarm:
Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
Picking just five is difficult, of course, but here goes:
Shooting Star. Not just because it's one of the first things I wrote, but also because I really like the feel of it, the occasional beginner's error notwithstanding - it's like... you know Nick Cave's live album, Live Seeds? It ends with a psychotic take on "From Her To Eternity" followed by an absolutely gorgeous "New Morning" that sounds like the sun rising over a battlefield and everyone getting up and walking into the dawn. Sorta like that, except not. "Bits of old TV satellites burning up in the atmosphere."
Mission Accomplished. People seem to agree, but I think it would have qualified even if nobody had read it. It was a lot of fun to write despite the heavy subject, and I'm quite pleased with the mix of plot and meta in it. And I really came to like Forsythe.
Gonna Make You Bark. As people may have noticed, my muse occasionally goes insane. This is one of my favourite results, partly because it sums up how I feel good crackfic should work - take a crazy concept and then have everyone react to it - and partly because, well, Puppet!Angel/Mr Gordo. I do a lot of things wrong here; there's some dodgy characterisation, not to mention the mortal fanfic sin of making two characters the same person just because they happen to be played by the same actor... but it's just too much fun.
Five By Five By Five By... for the sheer fluffy fuffy silliness, and because it's one of those ideas that just wrote itself. Plus, y'know, same-sex marriage is kind of timely.
Testament. Because it took me years to finish, and I couldn't for the life of me come up with a good ending... until I realised it wasn't an ending but a beginning.
Bonus drabble: The Only One To Grieve. I like the format, and I don't know why I don't write more Wes/Lilah.
I tag whoever wants to do it.
snowpuppies, though, I'm looking in your direction.
