So, what did I do in 2008?

Fic:

Buffyverse (TV)
Drowning In Footwear: A Married With Children crossover written for [livejournal.com profile] general_buffy's "We're not in Kansas anymore" challenge. Also, backstory for Spike's dream in "Chosen".

Looking Just Like A Ghost: Written for [livejournal.com profile] soundingsea's Freewheelin' Ficathon, this is a look at what happened to Angel, Darla and the Master during the Harvest in the Wishverse.

You're Already Caught: Another crossover, this time with the Discworld: Amy tries to stop Willow's spell during "Chosen", with unexpected results.

A Code Waiting To Be Broken: What's with 2008 and crossovers? Here's one with Twin Peaks, which I'll admit is probably mostly a way to pair up Faith and Audrey, though there's some character exploration for the two of them too.

Testament: Probably the best thing I wrote all year. This is a post-series look at where Faith (and some of the other characters) stands after the events of "Not Fade Away", and her possible ways forward.

Maybelline, Why Can't You Be True? Who says vampires don't sparkle?

Easy-Bake: A fluffy Willow/Tara moment... but set during s6, so not all that fluffy after all when it's all said and done.

Why Are You Wearing That Stupid Human Suit? Five times five people got dressed up for halloween. Or didn't.

Buffyverse (comics)
The Good Guys: a what-if based on what we found out about how Buffy's financing her Slayer army, and what makes them.

In The Land of Moab: A possible future for Angel in hell, based on the timeslips in AtF #3.

Did It Sing? Based on a misread of the preview of Season 8 #16, here's a Torchwood crossover. Looks to be my last Season 8 fanfic for now.

Other
Dr Horrible: A Circular Argument For The Existence Of A Supervillain: How did Moist get so... moist?

Dr Horrible: Cryogenics. The laundromat, post-canon.

Doctor Who: A Dalek On The Pull: The dating prospects of Dalek Caan, post-s3.

Asterix: A Forest: Asterix and Obelix run into every kind of Goth.

Lord of the Rings/Buffy: The War Of The Rings: A series of puntastic drabbles and ficlets, written in tandem with [livejournal.com profile] speakr2customrs.

Drabbles:
Sibling Rivalry (The Second Evil)
Obedience Training (Willow, Xander and Angel in the Wishverse)
Phantom Pain (Virginia/Wesley, s3)
Love Keeps Her In The Air (Mal/Serenity)

Smile And Grin At The Change All Around (Wolfram & Hart OCs, s5)
The Tide Is Turning (Buffy, Giles, post-series)
User Profile (Darla, s2)
Saved (Justine, "Sleep Tight")

Meta:
Missing "Damage" Scene: Given what we found out in Season 8 #10, here's a scene that was cut from the shooting script of "Damage".

Dracula vs Buffy: a look at Dracula's role in vampire fiction in general and "Buffy vs Dracula" in particular.

Season 8 speculation: Just who is narrating Season 8, anyway? Supervillains, James Bond references, giant robots, Warren never dying... you don't suppose...?

Buffy talks about the Giant Dawn thing: Exclusive interview.

Also, I wrote a bunch of Season 8 reviews.

Fanart:
The Big Bads of Buffy as South Park characters

Motivational posters: Season 8 set to the script of Doctor Horrible.

Vids:
Doctor Who: Homo Homini Lupus. The season 3 finale set to Slayer's "Raining Blood".

BtVS: They're Taking The Hobbits To Sunnydale! Glory's minions deserve some love, too.

Dr Horrible: The Divine Captain Hammer. Because The Breeders' "Divine Hammer" uses the exact same metaphor as the Captain does, and is about as subtle about it.
