This afternoon we were out and stopped to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant was playing his greatest hits, and Mike was commenting on how certain tracks were never heard anymore compared to others. I just read the news and see why it was playing.

He had such a huge back catalogue. And none of it really embarrassing even though he worked all through the 80s, that's quite the accomplishment.

So sad about Petty. I love that song...and the Traveling Wilbury's, and that's three out of five who are dead now.

Yeah. And all three of them really way too young. Petty may not have been the cornerstone of rock history that Dylan or Harrison are, but damn, he could spin a tune.
