[livejournal.com profile] elisi posted something truly awesome: a Simpsons comic in which Lisa turns up in Sunnydale!

Naturally, this needs to be iconed. (I mean, I've already more or less written the fic to go with it, plus I've done Simpsons-themed Jossverse icons in the past...) [livejournal.com profile] gillo had the same idea as me; hers are over here, I just hope there isn't too much overlap.

Also, at least one of these is slightly wrong, but hey; it's a Simpsons/Buffy crossover! And it's a comic, so it's even canon! :-)

It's a wonderful comic. I'd always thought they should do a Buffy-themed episode - if they did, I've never seen one. Bart as boy-demon would work too. (Or the ultimate Annoying One.)

I think they did one Treehouse of Horror that ripped off "Halloween" (or at least used the same basic idea of people turning into their costumes) and SMG guest starred once, but... come on, they did a The Critic crossover and no proper Buffy one? What's up with that? But then again, this comic makes up for a lot.

Seriously, I'm a huge Simpsons fan, but the last 10 seasons or so... *shudders, Homer-like* Did they just forget that they were supposed to be funny?

BTW, congrats on your successful campaign to de-canonize #24. Judging from the new preview pages, it seems none of that hiding-is-bad and let's-rally-the-people in that issue actually happened. :-)
