11. I'm more than 1/3 of the way through the January drabble challenge.

Title: How Riley Got That Scar
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Character: Riley
Timeline: Mid-s5
Word count: 100

Iowa

Christmas on the farm before leaving for Nicaragua was just what Riley needed; time to relax, think about his life, and Buffy. He knew he'd been right to end it, but...

As he cleaned out the toolshed one morning, a shovel hanging on the wall came loose somehow. Riley barely had time to look up before it hit him right in the face.

Sunnydale

Tara loved hearing Willow talk in her sleep and trying to figure out what she was dreaming.

Usually.

This, however, was creepy.

"'Fyou hurt'er... beat you... shhhovel..."

And since when were her eyes that dark?

*dies laughing from synchronicity*

Now that's a fanwank that rises above.

Heh, thanks!

My top 3 fanwanks:

1. The reason the übervamp was so much stronger in mid-s7 than in "Chosen" was because that one was superstrengthified by the First, just like Caleb.
2. The frame of "Spin The Bottle" (Lorne telling the story in an empty bar) takes place post-NFA. Hence his knowing everything that happened, and his loneliness at the end.
3. This one.

Hey, I've been reading all of these as you go and LOVING them, so please don't let my feedback-slackitude take away from this rave. You are so good at drabbling. Really amazing. I think my favorites so far were the Faith ones from yesterday; such nuanced character analyses in three little drabbles just blows me away. Keep it up; you're kicking ass!

Thanks a lot! I have no plans of giving up anyime soon; I'm having a lot of fun with these, plus getting way too many ideas for spinoffs... :-)

Loved it.

Perhaps your next drabble should be "why [insert name] was killed by a freak landslide of American cheese slices, while Willow was having another dream." ;)

It's a tricky business, what to do with Willow's power. I'm still waiting for a Willow fic to include the phrase "...and all over the country, broken yellow crayons somehow became whole again." Thanks!

Ahh, so THAT'S why he didn't mention how he got the scar. lol.

Your drabbles never fail to cheer me up.

Haha wow that is a good explanation but also a lil creepy that she does not have much control over her witchcraft.

Thanks! And yeah, there's a little Dark Willow foreshadowing in that, I guess...

:-) Literal character bashing can be fun sometimes.
