Because it's been a while, yoinked from rayruz:

Pick any passage, whatever length, from any story or drabble I've written, and comment to this post with that selection. I will then try to give you the equivalent of a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you’d expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

the one I'm most interested in at the moment (I haven't read all your fics) is Birthday Girl, but I can't pull a single passage out of it; I was curious how you imagined Buffy getting to this dark and lonely place, and what about that baby, etc? It's such a change from the usual that I'd love to read your thoughts on the "backstory" of that one (the story's backstory and the author's intent backstory).
