Holy fucking shit, Lynch and Frost have been slowly building for 15 hours and now they're unleashing on us. That was one of the best hours of television I've ever seen. We don't deserve this. There's no way we've earned this, but I'm going to lap it all up.

Do you think I need to rewatch the old series and Fire Walk With Me first?

Depends on how recently you saw it, I guess. Personally I rewatched the pilot episode, the killer reveal episode and the final episode + FWWM before starting the new season. There are quite a few callbacks, but the important ones are pretty well telegraphed with flashbacks and everything.

I did rewatch season 1 some while back but I probably need to watch it again and I've only seen FWWM once many years ago.
