So apparently the author of My Immortal has come forward and is bringing out a memoir.

In other news, I'm trying to piece together thoughts on the Twin Peaks finale, which was incredible and frustrating and thought-provoking and hilarious and left me a sobbing wreck and ... there'll be a longer post as soon as I get an hour to beat it into readable shape. In the meantime, here are two (spoilery) articles worth reading:

...may be the single weirdest hour of television ever produced. Seriously. If the first seven episodes were David Lynch not giving a fuck about what people expect and doing whatever he wanted, then this is him just letting go and not even thinking about what he wants but just disintegrating his ideas into pure patterns of light and sound. It makes Eraserhead look like Bicycle Thieves. It's beautiful, it's horrifying, and it's... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeally fucking weird, and somehow still advances the plot more than maybe any other episode in the entire series, and I love it, I love it, I love it.

I can't believe this is actually happening. And that Lynch can completely creep me out with just a 1-minute trailer.

Boy, and here I thought the prompt I got last year for intoabar was hard... I expect this fic will be jossed when Twin Peaks season 3 comes along a year or so from now.

This isn't the first Buffy/Twin Peaks crossover I've written, either, but it is kind of in continuity with the others.

On April 8, 1990, the first episode of Twin Peaks aired. I think that deserves a lovepost.

Here's my episode of season 2 of the audio drama Buffy Between The Lines! (OK, only half the episode is mine, it was co-written with redrikki who did a fantastic job on her half.)

What's it about, you ask? Well, the season takes place between s2 and s3 of BtVS, but this is pretty much a standalone episode, so if you haven't listened to any of the previous episodes (though you should) it shouldn't stop you from hearing this one. But as for the plot, it's two intertwined stories in one: Faith's road to Sunnydale via New Orleans pre-s3 (that's redrikki's bit) and the story of Richard Wilkins from 1897 to 1998 (that's my bit). Which was fun, since I got to include some of my favourite mayor-related fanwanks, do some character study, write Richard/Edna Mae, and sneak in at least two blink-and-you'll-miss-them crossovers.

And as usual, I'm both awed by and grateful to sl_podcast and all the actors and crew on the show. You guys rock.

I finally got around to finishing this one. Well, it's as finished as it's ever going to be. Someday I will write the big Buffyverse/Twin Peaks explain-everything crossover, but for now, this is a standalone.
