I won a [livejournal.com profile] still_grrr banner for Why Are You Wearing That Stupid Human Suit. Thanks, everyone, and especially [livejournal.com profile] xlivvielockex as usual!

Also, a scene in Angel: After the Fall #14 which made me laugh out loud and the reason it did:

Also, it's now official: Angel takes even longer to die than Hamlet in the MST3K production.

"I've been taking echinacea and vitamin C, so I should be OK." Is there a word in the English language he hasn't said? The Globe crowd is just waiting for the bear-baiting to start! Mmm-hmmm... right... sure... uh-huh, yeah... OK, die now. Booh! You're dying now, you're dead. I think... no, COME ON! ("The rest is silent.") Yeah, I wish. ...Hmmm? Could it be? What do you think, deadness? Have we achieved deadness?

Cut to the ghost. Cut to the ghost! Camera three! CUT TO THE GHOST!

Arrgh, I totally missed F-16/Pterodactile hubryd in ATF, thanks for pointing it out! That's an awesome concept, pity a so-so art didn't let me notice that.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who still thinks the AtF art is rather poor. This could have been the coolest monster in the entire comicsverse, and it's barely even visible...

Congratulations for the the banner.

"Also, it's now official: Angel takes even longer to die than Hamlet in the MST3K production." LOL who would have thought! Death scenes in opera are always hilarious from this point of view.

That being said, I feel really disppointed about Spike's part in Atf. It's really weak and Spike is turning into the vampire with a soul version of Andrew : useless wisecracking comic relief. That doubly sucks because Atf is canon and thus can't be discarded and because I can't see new readers pigking a real interest in the character as he is now.

Thanks!

Yep. And of course, there's Pee-Wee Herman in the Buffy movie too. But Angel is supposed to be a normal human being and is currently on his, what, fourth month of being mortally wounded? Come ON.

Oh no? Just watch me! :-D *discards*

"Oh no? Just watch me! :-D *discards*" You made me laugh. I can see the scene in my head.

"But Angel is supposed to be a normal human being and is currently on his, what, fourth month of being mortally wounded? Come ON. " I begin to suspect he has the most resistant mortal human body on this earth, because it's not the first time something similar happens if my memory is any good. :)

Ok, shutting up now. I'm a bad woman, but I blame that on your influence, of course.

And to think he said no to becoming human and gave up a life with Buffy in s1 of Angel because he thought she'd just have to save him all the time. Hell, if he was as durable back then, she could have used him as a meat shield. :-)

Missed this. Just posted my review, which grouses about the art a lot.

You are of course quite right about Angel's death scene being the most protracted ever.

So that's where that Tyrannosaurs in F-14's icon came from!
