Awards time again: Five By Five By Five By... was runner-up for "Best Comedy" at the Slayers Time Fanfiction Awards - yay! Huge thanks to the judges and the banner artist! Also, congrats to two great writers on my flist who also won - [livejournal.com profile] bakatulip and [livejournal.com profile] snowpuppies, you guys rule.

Also, here's a drabble dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] speakr2customrs who keeps breaking my brain by writing punny drabbles such as this one... or this one... not to mention this one.

A Plaice To Call Home (Angel, pre-s4)

The worst thing about being trapped in a coffin deep under the waves wasn't the hunger, but the loneliness. Without a single living thing to talk to, Angel felt himself going mad.

Then a small flatfish settled on his window. Its mouth moved slowly, as if talking. Sometimes it went for a short swim, casting a cock-eyed glance at the curious creature in the box, but it always returned to keep him company and listen to him.

For a while, that fish kept Angel sane. As bad as his situation was, at least he was a vampire with a sole.
