LJ has been officially (except without official word, obviously, because that would require LJ to actually talk to their users) moved to Russia, and our postings here are now subject to Russian law. Read this roundup by rahirah about what's going on and how you can back up your LJ:

PS - does anyone know what happens if you import comments from LJ on existing DW posts? I assume they don't overwrite the DW comments?

LJ is totally Greendale.

Though at least Greendale has a dean who's a real actual individual, as opposed to just an anonymous account that never responds to critical questions.

There are a LOT of things on US/UK Netflix that are nowhere to be found on the Swedish one. But at least we pay the same for it! Sometimes I miss the days before digitalisation supposedly made everything so easily available, when all you had was a video store with ten times the selection of Netflix.

Very true. But the actual people in charge are shady.

And the UK & US ones don't correlate either! I wonder if it's possible to petition for what shows you want or if it's driven by algorithms or what...
