So, back from a VERY wet rock festival vacation. You know that bit in "When She Was Bad" where Jenny talks about naked mud dancing? Like that, only with the Flaming Lips. And Roky Erickson. Man, if that's how 60-year-old mental patients rock, then gimme that straitjacket!

And here's a drabble for open_on_sunday's "Wave" challenge, since it's been a long time since I added to the "Let's Mess With Angel!" series:

Down For the Count
Angel, between s3 and s4

Vampire senses are useful. Night vision, for instance, works not only at night but also under water.

After a week stuck at the bottom of the ocean, Angel starts to alleviate boredom by counting. First he counts fish, but they all look the same and keep swimming back and forth. Then it's boats, but Connor dumped him way off the main routes and after three weeks he's only counted 11. Not helping.

So he counts waves.

One, two, three...

...ninetysix, ninetyseven, ninetyeight...

...fourthousandthreehundredthirteen, fourthousandthreehundredfourteen, fourthousandthreehundredfifteen...

...thirteenmillionsevenhundredfortyonethousandninehundredtwentynine, thirteenmillionsevenhundredfortyonethousandninehundredthirty, speedboat with hot blonde girl waterskiing, thirteenmillionsevenhundredforty... uh, sevenhundredforty...

Damnit.

Where've you been in the mud? My daughter is just home from Oxegen in Ireland. She now understands how people were just sucked into the mud in the trenches of WW1 and were never seen again.....

The Roskilde Festival in Denmark. First the rain (http://youtube.com/watch?v=xKdR6wxfY3Q) came and turned the whole place into a lke, and then the storms (http://youtube.com/watch?v=RjYIy_UO1Cs) blew away what was still standing... But hey, bad weather is just another excuse to get stinking drunk and sing obnoxiously loud. :-)
