When They Used To Have A Show (Post-series)

She's in Brazil again, where it fell apart. 150 years of blood and madness are almost over: Spike, Angelus, Darla, Sunnydale, LA... all gone. Through the palm trees, the stars sing of a new age. Drusilla knows what's coming before she hears the footsteps approaching.

"Hey. Vampirella."

Willow looks up when Kennedy returns to the hotel room. "Hey, baby. Patrol good?"

"Nah. Just found one, and she hardly put up a fight. Seems we're running out of vamps."

"Y'know," Willow grins, "some might say that's a good thing..."

At sunrise, the warm wind ruffles the palm branches, scattering the ashes.

Thanks! Dru's clairvoyance is one of those things I wish they'd done more with... hell, I wish they'd done more with Dru, period. Plus I've always loved the idea of having a big bad villain killed by someone who doesn't even realise who it is.

I feel almost sorry for Drusilla ... seems like an ignoble way to go, for someone with her, um, style.

Thanks! And yeah, I always thought Drusilla was a pretty pitiable character, as soulless monsters go... :-) But even if it may seem a bit unfair, I like the idea of a formerly big threat being easily swept away by a member of the new generation who doesn't even know who it is. Adds to the whole feeling of the times havin' a-changed, I think.

Indeed. I have a scene in a story I've been working on in which a young OC slayer takes out a certain cowboy vampire who survived his encounter with Buffy. Come to think of it, Dru puts in an appearance in that story; she's too fun for me not to use her eventually.
