Wait, what? I wrote fic? Oh right, that's a thing I used to do in the before-fore times. This is for my [community profile] buffyversebingo card, and... let's say the "Habeas Corpses" square.

Title: Twists and Turns
Author: Beer Good ([personal profile] beer_good_foamy)
Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, pre-series
Characters/Pairing: Spike, Drusilla, Dalton
Rating: PG13
Word count: ~750
Summary: There are rules for how to fight the undead. Being magical (or worse, metaphorical) some of them are bound to work better than others. And sometimes, as Spike and Dru are about to learn the hard way, technological advances bring some of the old ones back into play.

Vampires were fine right up until the point where, suddenly, they weren’t.
- Terry Pratchett

They'd learned to be wary, if not scared (it takes more than just owning a stake) of sunlight, holy water, fire, crosses and sharp bits of wood. )

Getting this in just under the deadline to complete my [community profile] buffyversebingo card with the prompt "Need". BINGO!

Title: Psychosomatic
Author: Beer Good ([personal profile] beer_good_foamy)
Fandom: Buffyverse (post-"Hole In The World")
Characters/Pairing: Spike/Angelus, Spike/Drusilla, Spike/Angel
Rating: R-ish
Word count: ~1570
Summary: Vampires, by definition, are dead. They really don't need to breathe. In fact, there's a lot of things they technically don't need to do. Funny how they still do them. Here are five vignettes about Spike through the ages, starting and ending at the end of "A Hole In The World".

"Spike drew an unnecessary breath."
- Approximately 7,491 fanfics

Once, when William's mum was still healthy enough to travel, she took him to visit some relatives in the country.  )

So [livejournal.com profile] femslash_minis are holding a Depeche Mode-inspired week, so I had to do something with it. This is for [personal profile] bruttimabuoni who wanted "People Are People" with pre-series Darla/Drusilla, alone time, and feast or famine. Hope this ticks all the boxes.

Title: Ye Gods And Little Fishes
Author: Beer Good ([personal profile] beer_good_foamy)
Fandom: Buffyverse
Rating: R-ish, I guess
Characters/Pairing: Darla/Drusilla
Word count: ~800
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] femslash_minis and [personal profile] bruttimabuoni's prompt "People Are People"
Summary: The first, aborted, trip to China, and why they never got there. Darla hates sea voyages, and Drusilla hates being left alone. So when she finds her grandmum alone on deck and lost in thoughts, she has to keep her attention somehow.

Have you no common decency? )

I was just listening to my favourite Bad Movie podcast, How Did This Get Made?. They were discussing Fast And Furious 7, and at one point wonder if there's fanfic of these movies. One (1) woman in the audience yells "YES!" and then has to grab a mike and explain how and what and why and where to the fascinated panel. This woman is now my hero.

Anyway, a drabble for [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday's prompt "Burn". Remember the little kid from the opening scene of "Lie To Me"?

The Lamb Is Caught In The Blackberry Patch

When the man tells him to run, he does. He's a big boy, he's lived here his whole life, but he runs.

He can still feel the weird lady's eyes on him. He runs faster through the dark streets, rubbing his cheeks. What did she mean, she wasn't a person? Why would his mom sing when she found his body? What was wrong with her eyes?

He runs all the way home, until his lungs burn. Mom hugs him, asks him what's wrong, but he can't explain how everything can be wrong, how he just wants to keep running forever.

Title: Untimely
Author: Beer Good ([personal profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Fandom/timeline: Buffy/Firefly, set around Serenity
Word Count: ~900
Warnings: Canon character death
Summary: Written for the [community profile] intoabar challenge: Drusilla goes into a bar and meets… Zoe Washburne!

"In moments of great stress, every life form that exists gives out a tiny subliminal signal. This signal simply communicates an exact and almost pathetic sense of how far that being is from the place of his birth."
- Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

She comes to bars for the people, navigating mostly by Sight, as if age has finally dulled all her other senses to blissfully vague background noise. )
beer_good_foamy: (Wild as the wind)
Might as well get this posted before I rewrite the ending yet again. Not the brightest and happiest fic I've written. I blame February.

Title: All But Left To Hunger
Fandom: Angel, post-"Not Fade Away"
Pairing: Drusilla/Faith; vague references to Faith/Buffy and Drusilla/Angelus
Rating: Let's say R just to be safe, though there's nothing explicit
Word count: ~1300
Warnings: Character death, allusions to past abuse, general Dru POV
Summary: Drusilla and Faith both find themselves in the alley shortly after "Not Fade Away". They're too late to change the future, now they're stuck with the past.
Written for [livejournal.com profile] xlivvielockex's Femslash February and [personal profile] snowpuppies's prompt "Faith/Dru, sorrow"

When she gets there, the battle is over. )

[livejournal.com profile] still_grrr's monthly theme is "Love Fest", so here's one het, one slash, and one femslash... thingy. (I'd originally planned for three drabbles, but the last one got away from me a bit.)

Title: All Wrapped Up
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Fandom/timeline: Buffyverse, Wishverse
Word Count: 100
Pairing: Willow/Xander

The gift that keeps on giving )

Title: There Goes The Cavalry
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Fandom/timeline: Angel, shortly after "Not Fade Away"
Word Count: 100
Pairing: Spike/Andrew

'Gratitude'. Riiiight. )

Title: Sanguine
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: R-ish
Fandom/timeline: Angel, "Reunion"
Word Count: 333
Characters: Drusilla/Darla
Warnings: ***Violence, slight bloodplay, slight incestuousness***

"When blood sees blood of its own
It sings to see itself again
It sings to hear the voice it's known
It sings to recognize the face"

(Suzanne Vega)

'Sanguine'. Hopeful. Plus, point of interest, it also means 'bloody'. )

[livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday had the prompt "Prayer" and somehow I couldn't get "Like A Prayer" out of my head, so...

Re-Enactment
1990-ish

Drusilla dances, moving between shadows and light as the flames roar behind her. Then she missteps, frowns, stops. "Why won't they sing the right song, Spike?"

"I thought you liked this song."

"Oh, I do." She's dancing again, moving with the screams from the burning church as they grow fainter. "It's just the wrong song. Not like the lady on the telly."

He grins. "Call it a hunch, Dru, but I don't think this is how Madonna did that video." Then he stands back, watching her dance against the fire, his goddess of destruction and creation. It feels like home.

This is for [livejournal.com profile] general_buffy's We're Not in Kansas Anymore crossover challenge. I don't know if anyone's ever crossed the Buffyverse and Married With Children before, but hey, it's the show David Boreanaz made his TV debut on so don't get all high and mighty with me. ;-)

Title: Drowning In Footwear
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 999
Fandom: Buffy/Married With Children
Warnings: Slightly un-PC dialogue – this is Al Bundy, after all.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Money? Christ, both shows have been off the air for years.
Summary: Life has just found another way to mess with Al Bundy. And to nobody's surprise, it involves the customers at his shoe store.

Sweet Home Chicago )

For [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday and the prompt "Palm."

When They Used To Have A Show (Post-series)

She's in Brazil again, where it fell apart. 150 years of blood and madness are almost over: Spike, Angelus, Darla, Sunnydale, LA... all gone. Through the palm trees, the stars sing of a new age. Drusilla knows what's coming before she hears the footsteps approaching.

"Hey. Vampirella."

***

Willow looks up when Kennedy returns to the hotel room. "Hey, baby. Patrol good?"

"Nah. Just found one, and she hardly put up a fight. Seems we're running out of vamps."

"Y'know," Willow grins, "some might say that's a good thing..."

***

At sunrise, the warm wind ruffles the palm branches, scattering the ashes.

Title: Creepy and Kooky
Author: Beer Good ([livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy)
Rating: PG13
Character: Drusilla
Timeline: 1965
Word count: 100

A/N: Feeling a bit silly today.

Altogether Ooky )

Also, if you haven't already, check out [livejournal.com profile] stormwreath's meta about Buffy s4. Very good read, especially if you were one of those (like me) who thought that naked-back scene with Willow and Tara in "Restless" was just cute, and not really creepy foreshadowing of s6...

Also also, [livejournal.com profile] entrenous88 is compiling a list of all 2006 roundups. Check here if you want in.

The November challenge at [livejournal.com profile] good__evil is "Evil Drusilla" (or "Good Connor", but that's just not something I'm going to write). Here's a little number I tossed off recently in the Caribbean.

Title: Best Fiends Forever
Author: [livejournal.com profile] beer_good_foamy
Character: Drusilla
Month: November
Rating: R
Length: 1000!
Disclaimer: I'm 6'5''. From this fact, it is easily inferred that I cannot be Joss Whedon or have the rights to anything he owns.
Summary: The life and unlife of a being called Drusilla and her closest confidante in 10 drabbles. Rated R for some icky violence.
