Also, here's a season 8 drabble which as far as I can tell is mostly in character for comic!Faith and comic!Giles. Mostly. Takes place between 8.06 and 8.07. Sort of.

Charity

3AM. Giles slept, exhausted from three weeks of training. Tomorrow morning, he and his made-over assassin... uh, Slayer were leaving for London, and -

The slamming door woke him up. In the drawer which had held the fake passports and plane tickets was just a note.

What ho, old bean!

Sorry about bailing, but c'mon, even youd be more convincing as a lady than me. Hell, keep the dresses & be a sweet transvestite. Happy hunting!

Well, I'm not sure exactly how literate Faith is ("It's a school thing. I kinda missed that decade"); maybe her letter should have more crossings out, bad spelling and poor grammar?

Giles was perfectly in character though. :-)

Acually, I picture Faith putting a little bit of work into it - not that I think she's illiterate or anything, just making sure to get it mostly right. At first I had her write "...as a lady than I me", but that crossed-out I just looked weird.

And yeah, Giles always wears women's clothes when nobody's watching, obviously. :-) Thanks!

It seems the trick to writing comic!fic is a bit like writing wishverse!fic; the characters are similar to the ones on the TV show, but... in subtle little ways, also very different, haha.

In 8.08, you mean? Well, let's hope so (though even if she is, I'm not convinced that she's just acting; judging from her internal monologue she's not exactly hating the situation). But then again, this takes place a couple of days before all that - as we know, comic!Faith seems to want nothing more than to get away from the Slayer gig. ;-)

Giles -- or at least, a doppleganger of Giles -- ended up in lingerie in one of my stories. I think it's safe to say that everyone who saw that had the image burned into their retina's.
