”Yeah, you like that? Oh baby...”

Kaylee frowned as she found Mal hunched over a turbine in the engine room. “Cap’n? You OK?”

“Kaylee!" Mal spun around, wrapping his coat in front of himself. "Sure. Just... admirin’ your work. Serenity's lucky to have you.”

“Thank you!” Kaylee beamed. “I know how much you love her, so -”

“I don’t... I mean, sure. Platonically.“

“Only I wouldn’t touch that turbine right now; I just lubed up the exhaust ports, and that stuff will burn your skin right off once it sets... Are you sure you’re OK? You’re lookin’ a mite pale.”
