Here's a kind of a crossover; inspired by the latest Cloverfield entry, but not technically in canon with or requiring any knowledge of that 'verse (in as much as anything can be canon in a 'verse where every entry is an AU to the last one). So basically, if you want to read it as a Godzilla or Pacific Rim crossover, or just assume that giant kaiju can exist within the Buffyverse, that should work too.

( Buffy kept feeling like she should, well, appreciate this more. Not to disparage all the other apocalypses she's stopped, but taking down (well, potentially) a mile-high lizard monster wading across the Pacific to stomp the western seaboard? That's a classic on a whole other level.  )

I was going to post this as my halloween fic, but then it turned out more of an All Saint's Day fic (or maybe I just didn't get it finished on time). This is partly inspired by a comment to deird1 a while back, sorry for writing it before you got the chance. :-) I'm not exactly sure what I mean by this fic, it just jumped into my head and had to be written. I'll write something silly once NaNoWriMo is over, promise.

I'm a bit like a duck this week: calm and collected on the surface, paddling like hell underneath. 2x100 words ready for publication; hopefully a lot more within the not-too-distant-future. (I have something that I tried to write for tenyearsofbuffy and forgot about... should be done in a few days.)
