Here's an OT3 drabble and icon for you. With a difference.

OT3 2.0

Knock knock.

Warren opened the door, eyes wide in surprise. "S-Spike... Buffybot... I-is there a problem with the bot? I did every test you wanted..."

"None at all." Spike grinned. "I'm one happy customer. We're here to place another order."

"Look, I'm not making any more girls..."

"Not a problem. Well, depends on your definition... here's your new specs. Make sure you get the forehead right."

"And the hair," Buffybot beamed. "It grows straight up and it's bloody sexy."

Spike leaned closer, menacingly. "And no cheating on the tests. Angelbot had better be able to do everything on this list."

Five icons regarding the question "Why Scotland, of all places?" Well...

One of the bits I like about the comics is that Joss, so far, is refusing to give us a teacher's-edition-style answer to exactly what his OTPs are; the whole shipping thing gets so ridiculously overblown sometimes, and as much as some things about the comics make very little sense, they would be a lot duller if he had simply paired everyone up in even fan-approved pairs and had them shagging living happily. So here's a silly little icon to celebrate Joss at least messing with some expectations.

Stuff the second: icon for still_grrr's "Bring Out Your Dead" month. Sappy, I know, but I think we've already established that I'm a bit of a softy sometimes.


Stuff the third: The big LJ emigration. I ain't goin' nowhere.

Over the past few weeks, a lot of people stood united. As someone who's fairly new to the whole thing, I found it incredibly moving. And while a mass exodus to greatestjournal or insanejournal or wallstreetjournal might look like a good idea on paper, it feels a bit like retreating and dividing strength to me - even IF most people were to emigrate to the same place with all flists, comms and links in place, which feels unlikely (and even if the new place didn't go the same way as LJ two years from now...)

So no more runnin'. Misbehave. Join fandom_counts. Join fan_investors. And, well, keep on keepin' on. To quote one of the many icons that's been making the rounds - "Fuck not with fandom, for fandom fucks back". Not off. Big business is here to stay and we're not getting out of its belly, but I kinda like the idea of us giving it salmonella now and then.

When the whole s8 debate flared up a few days ago, elisi and owenthurman quickly made icons with the caption "MY Willow kills people" (for reasons obvious to whoever's been following the debate). (ETA: Elisi's icon was made by awmp. Sorry about that.)

Anyway, I didn't want to admit to being outdone, so since one of the prompt songs at still_grrr this week had the line "The killer in me", I made these 7 icons. So... if you haven't read the comics and want to remain unspoiled, you might consider some of these ever so slightly spoilery.

Also, one or two of them has skinless Warren, if that squicks ya.

Also, I've finally decided to get a more manly default icon. Not that I'm in any way insulted to occassionally be mistaken for a girl - in a fandom where the vast majority of the characters are female, it's something of a compliment - but... y'know. So currently I'm choosing between these - two Angel, one Firefly and two from Shaun of the Dead because it's damn hard to find good pictures of Buffyverse characters enjoying a cold one for some reason. Thoughts, anyone?
